Passport — You need a certified copy of your birth certificate, 2 professionally developed PASSPORT photograghs and a current photo ID such as a drivers license or military ID card;

Visa — Visas are mandatory to Brazil. To get a Braziliand Visa, you will need a valid passport, 2x2 passport photos, and about $50 to process the applications. Also, you should bring a second id, a driver's license or other form of picture identification.

Florianopolis is a 200 square mile island located just off the coast of southern Brazil and it's as good a spot as one could ask for. Check this camera of the city.
